Ir. Zainudin Md. Yusof
Ir. Zainudin is the Head and Chief Executive Officer of Single Buyer, providing strategic leadership over electricity system planning and end-to-end supply management for Peninsular Malaysia. He is guiding the organisation as it transitions from a ring-fenced entity to an independent market operator, in line with the Government’s initiative to enhance transparency, market integrity, and regulatory confidence. This pivotal role positions Single Buyer as a trusted enabler of Malaysia’s energy transition and long-term Net Zero 2050 ambitions.
A Professional Engineer with over three decades of experience in the utility industry, Ir. Zainudin brings deep expertise in grid planning and operations. He actively contributes to key national energy and regulatory platforms, reinforcing sound governance, policy alignment, and sector-wide collaboration.
Under his leadership, Single Buyer continues to strengthen energy security, market confidence, and sustainable growth, delivering long-term value for Malaysia and the Rakyat while supporting regional integration and renewable energy advancement
Norshafiza Shamsuddin
Norshafiza oversees corporate strategy, regulatory compliance, talent development, and organisation-wide coordination at Single Buyer. She focuses on aligning the organisation’s work with strategic priorities while fostering collaboration and supporting staff development.
Her experience in regulatory economics, commercial evaluation, and contract management enables thoughtful and balanced decision-making that builds trust in the market. She also contributes to national energy and regulatory initiatives, strengthening governance and policy alignment. Through her efforts, the organisation remains responsive, resilient, and well prepared for future opportunities in Malaysia’s evolving energy landscape.
Dr. Nor Azlan Mostafa
Dr. Nor Azlan leads strategic planning and long-term system development for Malaysia’s electricity market. He oversees system outlooks, demand forecasting, generation expansion planning, and energy mix assessments, while guiding integrated system planning and strategic advisory functions to ensure alignment between policy direction, market design, and infrastructure readiness.
Drawing on experience across power plant operations, generation planning, and nuclear energy development within TNB and Single Buyer, he brings both technical depth and policy insight. His contributions to national energy studies and long-term power system modelling strengthen system resilience and support the sustainable evolution of Malaysia’s electricity market.
Aniza Ali Mohamad
Aniza is responsible for financial management at Single Buyer, providing guidance across regulatory finance, treasury, procurement, and reporting. She ensures transparency, robust financial governance, and efficient processes that support the organisation’s work.
With expertise in regulatory economics, finance, and commercial evaluation, she supports informed financial decision-making and has played a key role in transitioning the Imbalance Cost Pass-Through (ICPT) mechanism into the Automatic Fuel Adjustment (AFA). Her leadership promotes sustainable financial practices that enable the organisation to deliver value and stability to stakeholders while navigating the country’s energy transition.
Ahmad Fairuz Hj Abd Jamil
Ahmad Fairuz leads the design, governance, and execution of power market operations to ensure a stable and efficient electricity market in Malaysia. He oversees operational frameworks, dispatch coordination, and market performance monitoring in alignment with regulatory and system requirements.
Having progressed from generation planning to senior leadership roles in capacity planning within TNB and Single Buyer, he has been closely involved in long-term expansion studies, renewable integration initiatives, and stakeholder advisory engagements. His experience enhances operational integrity, strengthens market readiness, and supports reliable and credible market outcomes.
Akmarhayu Rahim
Akmarhayu leads contract development and operational oversight of key market and supply agreements underpinning Malaysia’s electricity sector. She ensures that contractual and commercial arrangements are structured, negotiated, and managed in alignment with regulatory, operational, and market objectives.
Her leadership has evolved through roles in fuel management, planning, and contract operations within TNB and Single Buyer. Muhamad Zulkifli Meah

Building on experience across System Planning, Transmission, Contract Performance, New Energy, and Generation within TNB, his background bridges infrastructure development and market dynamics. Siti Nur Hanim Ismail
Siti Nur Hanim leads the legal and contractual advisory function for Single Buyer.
