Single Buyer Chillin’ with Nature – 100 Trees Today, A Legacy for Tomorrow

Single Buyer successfully hosted its Stakeholder Engagement Event 2025 in Bagan Lalang, bringing together key partners from PETRA, NRES, the Energy Commission (ST), MyPOWER, SEDA, the Ministry of Economy, Grid System Operator (GSO), and the Single Buyer team.

Held under the theme “Chillin’ with Nature”, the program provided an informal yet purposeful platform for cross-agency engagement beyond formal policy and operational discussions. The event strengthened professional relationships while reinforcing a shared commitment to sustainability within Malaysia’s energy ecosystem.

The highlight of the programme was a CSR initiative involving the planting of 100 mangrove trees, symbolising the collective commitment of industry stakeholders toward long-term environmental stewardship under the slogan, “100 Trees Today, A Legacy for Tomorrow.” Participants also took part in mangrove kayaking and boat exploration activities, followed by a batik painting session — fostering collaboration in a relaxed setting that encouraged open dialogue and stronger working relationships.

The programme began at 8:00 a.m. at the Fishermen’s Jetty, continued to Pantai Pasir Putih for the mangrove planting activity, followed by a guided kayak session through the mangrove channels, and concluded with a networking lunch at 1:30 p.m.

Beyond relationship-building, the initiative reflects Single Buyer’s ongoing commitment to supporting the national energy agenda. By strengthening coordination and trust among regulators, policymakers, and market operators, such engagements enhance ecosystem alignment, facilitate smoother implementation of sustainable initiatives, and reinforce Malaysia’s transition toward a more efficient, reliable, and cleaner energy supply.

Single Buyer remains committed to fostering collaborative partnerships that create long-term value for the market and the nation.
